Home remedies for diabetes

According to recent statistics, In India more people are carries Type 2 diabetes than any other Country. People do not likes to take medicines everyday. Insulin and dialysis are worse experience. And mind you, as opposed to the false impression, eating sweets is not only the cause for this disease. Stress and genes too play a major role in this. Although one cannot do much about it if it's genetic.

No, you don't have to go off pills everyday. Just a few changes in your food habits to cut the risks of diabetes to a great extent. Here are some simple Home remedies, using that you can prevent diabetes or reduce it if you already are affected by it.

Nobody likes to eat Bitter (Karela) . But its better to take a fruit or a vegetable instead of medicines. Having bitter gourd juice on an empty stomach has proved to prevent diabetes. If you are too inflexible or enjoy eating bitter gourd, then you could make stuffed karela (bitter bourd) or fry them like chips and have them as a snack. This will brings a change in your menu and give a reprieve to your taste, but beneficial to your health Also.

Immerse a few seeds (1/4 tsps) of Methi in water overnight. After brushing teeth in the morning, drink greedily the Methi along with water.

Jambul fruit is most effective medicine for diabetes considering its result on pancreas. The seeds be dried, powdered and had with water twice a day.

The guava is available throughout the year. With its vitamin “C” property and high fibre content, this is one fruit that diabetics can eat fearlessly. However, a recent study has shown that having guava with its skin can increase the blood sugar levels, so make sure you unpeel the skin before eating.

Gooseberry/Amla juice too cuts the blood sugar levels.

If you can't take coffee or tea without sugar, try and replace with honey.

Studies have shown that black coffee without sugar cuts the risk of Type 2 diabetes.

Among other benefits, green tea is also helpful in reducing the blood sugar and insulin levels in the body.

Besides this make regular walk about 45 minutes (5 km) and exercise  as a part of your routine Life.

Changing in Lifestyle can prevent type-2 Diabetes

Making lifestyle changes can prevent type-2 diabetes, simply, effectively and cheaply, a new study says.

Diabetes is a chronic and complex disease marked by high levels of sugar in the blood that arise due to problems with the hormone insulin, which regulates blood sugar levels. It is usually caused by an inability to produce insulin (type 1) or an inability to respond correctly to insulin (type 2).

How to Prevent Diabetes

The study involved 230 people in poor, urban neighborhoods in the San Francisco Bay Area cities.
After six months, those who had received the counseling had on average lost more weight, were consuming less fat, were eating more fruits and vegetables and showed more improvements in lowering in their blood triglycerides, a key risk measure for type 2 diabetes, the American Journal of Public Health reported.
Diabetes is not something you are necessarily going to get just because it runs in your family,” said Alka Kanaya, associate professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and senior study author.
“You can do something about it,” said Anita Stewart, professor at the UCSF Institute for Health & Aging and the Center for Aging in Diverse Communities, senior study co-author, according to a university statement.

Previous studies have shown that counseling and other lifestyle interventions are effective at preventing type 2 diabetes, but those interventions have generally been designed for clinical settings and include separate sessions with numerous health professionals.
Contacted by phone about once a month, half of them received specific dietary guidance and other lifestyle counseling.

“It is very preventable, and Lifestyle changes can really impact the onset of diabetes.”

What is the Solution For Diabetes ?

So what is the solution?

The solution to all these, is to get back into natural state of vibrant health... by "cleansing" self from the inside, allowing body to get rid of the acids that are taxing cells, to enable them to start functioning properly again. As pancreas starts working again, start to produce INSULIN!!
According to people of modern age , technological and medical advances that medicine would have found be cure. BUT, the cure does not lie in medication and drugs… The Cure Lies In Bringing Immune System Back Into Shape.
A combination of natural remedies, dietary strategies, and lifestyle changes that will stabilize blood sugar and keep it at a healthy level. Reduce cravings for toxic foods. The best way to simplify the task is making a health-conscious lifestyle adjustment. A scientific steps towards start up the body to do its natural work, which is to heal itself and restore pancreatic function: Producing insulin!
As pancreas restores, blood sugar levels will drop even though there is a injecting the same amount of insulin.  So

Avoid  Acidic , Toxined  food.

Acidic Foods

Highly Acidic fruits include berries, apples, grapes, tomatoes, pears, pineapples and plums. Lemon juice and vinegar .

Acidic vegetables include pimento olives and canned artichokes, beets,
pickles and sauerkraut. Some breakfast cereals, breads, beans, dairy products and fish .
Fruits with low acidity include cherries, figs, plums, watermelon, dates and raisins. Most vegetables, including leafy greens, cauliflower, carrots, artichokes and sweet potatoes, are non-acidic

Antioxidants : Antioxidant rich foods are: Bell peppers, squash and cherries, and foods rich in B-vitamins and calcium, such as whole grains, almonds and beans. Avoid unhealthy fat sources, such as processed snack foods, butter and fatty meats, and enriched foods, such as white bread. Omega-3 fatty acids, which are prevalent in salmon, herring, halibut and flaxseed, might help reduce inflammation.

Principles of low-glycemic eating

  • Eat a lot of non-starchy Vegetables and Fruits, such as beans,  apples, pears, peaches, and berries.
  • Eat grains in the least-processed state possible: “unbroken,” such as whole-kernel bread, brown rice, and whole barley, millet, and wheat berries; or traditionally processed, such as stone-ground bread, steel-cut oats, and natural granola or muesli breakfast cereals.
  • Limit white breads and white pasta to small side dishes.
  • Limit concentrated sweets, including high-calorie foods with a low glycemic index, such as ice cream to occasional treats.
  • Reduce fruit juice to not more than one cup a day. Completely eliminate sugar-sweetened drinks.
  • Eat a healthful proteins at most in the meals, such as beans, fish, or skinless chicken.
  • Use foods with healthful fats, such as olive oil, nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans), and avocados.
  • Limit saturated fats from dairy and other animal products. Completely eliminate partially hydrogenated fats (trans fats), which are in fast food and many packaged foods.
  • Have three meals and one or two snacks each day, and don’t skip breakfast.
  • Eat slowly with cheerfulness and stop when full.

Exercise

Whenever you actively use the muscles, you burn both fatty acids and glucose. During and after periods of activity, your falling glucose level is sensed by the beta cells in your pancreas, and they relax their output of insulin. This gives your beta cells a break from excessive insulin production. In addition, the lower insulin levels signal your liver to empty its glucose reserves (glycogen) into the blood to supply the muscles with needed energy.
As physical activity continues, the liver converts amino acids, lactic acid, and fats into glucose to supply the muscles. If the activity continues long enough, even the body's fat cells get in the game. They compensate for the reduced fatty acid levels in your blood by converting their stored triglycerides into fatty acids.
When all of these steps are considered, it's easy to see why using your muscles is the perfect treatment for diabetes. It lowers blood glucose, lowers fatty acid levels in your blood, and reduces the workload of your pancreas. And, unless you are on a medication that can cause hypoglycemia, physical activity won't cause your blood glucose level to fall below normal, rather than you are on diabetes treatments (medication) may.

Using Alcohol in Diabetes .

Proceed with caution when it comes to  Alcohol
It’s easy to underestimate the amount of calories and carbos in alcoholic drinks, including beer and wine. And cocktails mixed with soda and juice can be loaded with sugar.
If you’re going to drink, do so in moderation (no more than 1 drink per day for women; 2 for men),
choose calorie-free drink mixers, and drink only with food. If you’re diabetic, always monitor your blood glucose, as alcohol can interfere with diabetes medication and insulin.

Tips To Control Diabetes

Are you recently diagnosed with diabetes, you're not alone. Nearly 153.9 million people are living with diabetes. In 2010, nearly 5 million new people were diagnosed with diabetes in the world of ages 20 up.
Let us see what exactly Diabetes is.
"A Diabetic person have a metabolic situation of the body in which the quantity of glucose in the blood is too High (hyperglycemia). This is because the body either does not produce enough Insulin, produces no Insulin, cells that do not respond properly to the insulin the pancreas produces. Insulin is the hormone that converts the sugar in the food into body energy.
Insufficient secretion of insulin by pancreas results in excess glucose level in the bloodstream,
too much glucose building up in the blood. This is called the Diabetes.
This excess blood glucose eventually passes out of the body through urine. So, even though
the blood have plenty of glucose, the cells are not getting it form blood to their essential energy and growth requirements."
So simply Diabetes means, blood glucose (sugar) is too high.
Diabetes can causes damage to heart, blood vessels, eyes, kidneys, and nerves.
But you can manage and prevent health problems by learning .
Tips To Control Diabetes.
Root Cause” of diabetes.
First understand the root cause of diabetes, For person his diet and lifestyle  is the reason to damage one very specific organ called the pancreas... the Organ which produces and release insulin.
This organ has happening so severely damaged by the diet only, that it eventually produced less and less insulin until you were diagnosed with Diabetes.
Diabetes is not a disease about not having enough “insulin”… but a disease of the organ that produces insulin: The pancreas !
In reality‚ diabetes is not the “disease” at all. but its a "symptom" – of a damaged pancreas that is
unable to produce the insulin the body needs to regulate the sugar levels in the blood!
Diabetes is the direct result of a breakdown organ inside called pancreas .
We're not paying attention to SOURCE of problems Diabetes.

Let's look at body metabolism. The pancreas is a vital organ in our body.
It produces the hormone, insulin. Carbohydrates stimulate the secretion of insulin .
Fast absorption carbohydrates in our food results, pancreas to work more and hard, and thus produces more insulin. If the pancreas over-stimulated for a long period , it may become "exhausted."
The pancreas, if it is filled by acids – acids not only from fast absorption carbohydrates we consume, but also from sugars, excess fats, high acid forming foods, and uric acid ( very common in our modern diets), as they keep going from the stomach directly to the pancreas. scientists have now discovered that the “Root Cause” of diabetes is pancreas becoming diseased by acids;sugars‚ carbohydrates‚ excess fats and uric acid ( common in our modern diets).
Most of the foods in our modern diet are full of 'Pancreas Destroying' acids, carbohydrates, sugars and fats.
So instead of digesting food and producing insulin... pancreas now becomes a "shock organ."
Which means... Pancreas Has to first Absorb and Neutralize All the Excess Acids from Our Modern Diets Dump Into it. This is when it developed “pre–diabetes”‚ and…If you don’t stop the attacks on your pancreas‚ you definitely develop type 2 and eventually type 1 diabetes!
Here’s the scientist, Dr. Robert O. Young, has to say about the ROOT cause of Diabetes:

“Beta cells surrounded by acids do not or cannot produce sufficient insulin.
Acids destroy insulin receptor sites on the cellular membrane so body cells cannot use properly
the hormone Insulin. If alkalinity not soon restored, disease, including diabetes, takes hold. But without acidosis, there can be no sickness or disease – there can be no diabetes.”
(Dr Robert O. Young, MS, D. Sc., Ph. D. Microbiologist and Scientist)
Dr. Young discovered that, the cells that produce insulin are being heavily damaged by acidic foods and more importantly‚ can be restored if the cells are healthy. The cells that are responsible for producing insulin ( they’re called “Beta cells” ) are surrounded by overdose of acids from our foodstuff causes these cells to become severely damaged… and eventually to stop producing insulin.
As mentioned above, when we ingest , poisonous foods which cause the blood to turn acidic,
then these Beta Cells are unable to function properly…Diabetes comes to life.
Note that the cells in pancreas are not only over acidic due to the food you eat, but also the lifestyle you live.
Once we understand the ‘Root Cause’ of  Diabetes — we instantly start observing Diabetes from a different perspective — instead of "Medication" and "fighting the symptoms," we start thinking about "Health" and treating the Root cause.
The prescriptive medications can help "artificially control" the blood sugar (treat the symptoms),
they never gives relief from root cause of the disease.
( In Next Post we will See What is Solution )
